History has context.

Twenty Miles brings events into sequence so you can understand how a story developed. Explore the histories of people, places, companies, ideas, and the world around them.

What “Official” means

Official timelines are published and maintained by Twenty Miles. The badge identifies editorial responsibility. It does not mean a subject endorses the timeline or that every claim has been independently verified.

Sources and dates

Source links appear beside events when available. “Source not yet attached” means a supporting reference still needs to be added. Dates marked “Date as recorded” came from the earlier catalog and need a review of their precision. Event dates are separate from the dates when content was added or reviewed.

Legends, satire, and developing stories

These types of content need a clear label. A legend is not a verified historical account. Developing stories show recorded coverage, which may not include recent events. We preserve the existing catalog while reviewing its sources, dates, and labels.

A growing collection

For now, publishing is limited to our editorial team. You can read without an account. If you would like to create timelines in the future, show interest.
